Philadelphia Phillies star first baseman Bryce Harper limps off the field grabbing his hamstring and was grimacing as he hit first base to make the final out of the loss to the Miami Marlins.
Phillies Manager Rob Thomson said that Harper felt his hamstring going down the line. He says they will check him out tomorrow, as per John Clark NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Harper headed right to the clubhouse with the Phillies trainers as the game ended. Kyle Schwarber left the game earlier with left groin tightness.
The Phillies bullpen blew a 3-0 lead to the Marlins after starting pitching Zack Wheeler left the game.
Harper went 1-for-5 with a RBI double in the first inning. The Phillies cannot afford to lose their star player.
Harper is off to the best start of his career. He has 20 home runs and 58 RBIs on the season.
