Bryce Harper Hits Go Ahead Home Run To Lead the Phillies To Win Over Pirates

Bryce Harper went 3 for 4 with two doubles and a home run to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-6 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Harper blasted his 21st home run of the season to put the Phillies up for good. It was a solo shot to center.

Garrett Stubbs hit a three-run home run and Edmundo Sosa also homered for the Phillies, who won their seventh in a row.

Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez lasted only 4 2/3 innings and allowed nine hits and six runs with four strikeouts and two walks.

Rookie Orion Kerkering earned the win in relief, and Gregory Soto picked up his third save after striking out the sidet in the ninth inning.
