Bryce Harper And The Red Hot Phillies Are Obliterating The Baseball

The Philadelphia Phillies put on a offensive display on Saturday night as they put a 12-1 beat down on the St. Louis Cardinals.

Designated hitter Bryce Harper continued to swing a hot bat with three hits and and two RBIs to lead the way. The Phillies clubbed three home runs, getting blasts from Nick Castellanos, Bryson Stott and Brandon Marsh.

The three home runs give the Phillies 48 for the month of August. The total number of home runs set a franchise record.

The Phillies hitters are assaulting the baseball over this month as they have now surged to a record of 71-58 on the season and own the top wild card spot.

They are 13.5 games back of the first place Atlanta Braves in the NL East, so it’s wild card or no playoffs. The Phillies are in a really good spot right now as they are 3.5 games up on the Chicago Cubs, who are the closest team to them in the wild card standings.

The Phillies are in good spot, due their stellar play in August. Their stacked lineup has been a big reason and their superstar Bryce Harper has been leading the way.

Harper is 17-for-34 with five homers, 11 RBIs and 12 runs in his last nine games for the Phillies. For the season, Harper has 12 home runs with 49 RBIs and a .306 batting average.

The two NL MVP Harper is now completely recovered from off-season UCL surgery. When completely healthy Harper is one the best hitters in baseball.

The Philadelphia Phillies are red hot right now and looking like a team that is ready to make a deep postseason run.
