The Browns have signed CB Denzel Ward to a 5-year, $100.5 million contract extension, per @AdamSchefter. This makes Ward the highest paid CB in NFL history at the age of 24.

Ward has been one of the most productive defensive backs in the league since being drafted in 2018. He has never had less than 10 pass break ups in a single season, and has never gone a season without recording at least two interceptions.
In his four season career, Ward has recorded 10 interceptions and 50 pass deflections, combining for a total of 186 tackles. These numbers are extreme for a starting cornerback. The Browns have locked in their key piece in their secondary for the next five years.
