Browns Head Coach Reveals Reason For Myles Garrett Benching

Written by Tony Ghaul

Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that he sat star pass rusher Myles Garrett down for the first drive of Saturday’s 17-10 loss to the Saints because of a “team thing. My decision.” Stefanski declined to elaborate.

Chase Winovich and Alex Wright started in place of Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney, who sat out the game with a concussion.

Garrett sat out practice on Tuesday and Wednesday because of an illness but returned on Thursday, played only 36 snaps for 67%. He made three tackles on the game. Garrett has 13.5 sacks on the season.
