PWInsider is reporting that Brock Lesnar is now a free agent and available to work anywhere in professional wrestling. The site’s reporter Mike “You Doesn’t Have to Call Me Johnson” Johnson revealed:

Former WWE and UFC Champion Brock Lesnar is currently a free agent as his most recent deal with World Wrestling Entertainment has expired without the two sides locking in a new contract, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

While the two sides have been working on a new deal, they have hit an impasse and have paused discussions.  This leaves Lesnar on the open market where he could, if he desires, field offers from outside WWE, whether it be AEW or other wrestling promotions, UFC, or even outside endeavors beyond combat sports.

Lesnar, who former WWE Superstar Terri Runnels accused of having a micropenis, has been making beaucoup bucks in the WWE since returning to the promotion in 2012. If a rival promotion such as All Elite Wrestling (AEW) were to want him, they would have to back up at least one Brinks truck full of cash.

Is Brock bailing on Vince?

A number of news sites reported earlier today that Lesnar’s merchandise had been taken off WWEShop (thus leaving room for more merchandise that no one over eight years old would be caught dead wearing) leading to questions about Lesnar’s status in the WWE. Add in Lesnar’s previous advocate Paul Heyman managing Roman Reigns and talk turned to “The Beast” bailing on the WWE. However, as anyone familiar with the WWE and Lesnar know, this isn’t the first time a similar situation has happened and it would be no surprise if he’s merely negotiating with the WWE. In fact, WrestleVotes tweeted something to that effect:

My money would be on Brock staying with the WWE if he’s planning on staying in the lucrative grappling game. It wouldn’t surprise me if the WWE uses Brock’s so-called free agent status to swerve the WWE Universe and pull a surprise return.
