NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre, while being involved in a welfare fraud scandal down in the state of Mississippi, is planning to sue Fox Sports’ Undisputed host Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee separately for defamation.

“Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee tried to further their careers by making baseless defamatory allegations against Brett Favre,” a spokesperson for Favre explained to DailyMail.com and Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Per PFF, what led to Favre suing both McAfee and Sharpe for alleged defamation were made off comments that both personalities made towards the former quarterback after the news of the welfare fraud scandal first surfaced.

Back last September, Sharpe called Favre a ‘sleezeball’ while alleging that he knowingly stole $1.1 million in Mississippi for speeches that were never spoke. During that same time frame, McAfee said that Favre ‘stole from the poor people of Mississippi.’

To sum this up: this will potentially be a sticky situation for all parties involved in this suit. This may go on for a while, but some news do not lie regarding the scandal.

Just hope all the mess gets resolved soon enough.
