BREAKING: WWE’s Renee Young Diagnosed with COVID-19

As first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, multiple people in attendance at the Performance Center, including in-ring talent, were diagnosed with coronavirus this week. Despite not revealing names, WWE’s own Renee Young took to Twitter to reveal that she is one of the talent who has tested positive.

This comes after an awful few days for Young, as her show WWE Backstage on FS1 has been removed from weekly programming. Her coronavirus diagnosis only adds to the stress of her week. However, her diagnosis may impact more than just her work for WWE. Renee Young is married to AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who was pulled from AEW Dynamite after he “had contact with someone who had contact with someone” who has coronavirus, according to AEW President Tony Khan.

With the new information that Moxley’s partner herself has the disease, it has to cast doubt over Moxley’s immediate AEW future. He is set to defend the AEW World Championship in the main event of Fyter Fest Night 2 against Brian Cage. However, if he also has COVID-19, or if he is not quarantining away from Renee, that match may have to be postponed or even cancelled. Only time will tell how that situation unfolds.

Pro Sports Extra wishes Renee Young the best of luck in the recovery from this terrible illness. Stay safe everyone.
