According to Ian Rapoport, the Ravens have agreed to pay the standout LB Roquan Smith a five-year, $100 million extension.
Back in October, the team acquired him through a trade with the Chicago Bears. In return, the Ravens sent the Bears a second- and a fifth-round pick in 2023.
The Ravens defense got much better with Roquan Smith being on the team. They went from being one of the worst in the league to one of the best. His 169 total tackles ranked third in the NFL as he made his first Pro Bowl squad.
Smith’s extension is worth $100 million, including $45 million fully guaranteed with $60 million in total guarantees.
