As a follow up to my earlier blog, yet another Serbian has tested positive for the coronavirus. Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has contracted the virus and is looking to self isolate ahead of the NBA’s restart in Orlando. Jokic and Djokovic were seen pictured together last week.
The Denver Nuggets cannot afford to lose their star player and should be taking necessary precaution to make sure that Jokic is cleared. The big man has been looking slimmer recently and has been seen hanging out and not socially distancing as early as 2 weeks ago.
Whether or not this weight loss has anything to do with the coronavirus remains to be proven but let’s hope that he didn’t have the virus then. With the sports world cautiously following the rules hoping for a restart (or a beginning for some), athletes cannot be doing their part in spreading the virus.
