In a recent statement from the Laundrie’s family attorney Steve Bertolino, Brian Laundrie may very well still be alive and might be unaware that he is being searched for. The Laundrie’s family attorney had the following to say on the matter to Fox News:
“I believe Brian is still in the preserve,” the lawyer told Fox News, referring to the Carlton Reserve where the missing man’s parents told investigators he was going hiking last month.
“And as such I don’t think he has access to the news,” Mr Bertolino said

According to a CNN report from yesterday, a source close to the Laundrie family revealed “traces” of a campsite had been located in the reserve. When CNN asked Bertolino about Brian’s “survival skills” he simply said “he’s a backpacker.”
Mr. Bertolino also commented on the fact that Brian Laundrie’s father, Chris Laundrie, would now be helping in the search for his son.
“Chris Laundrie was asked to assist law enforcement in their search for Brian at the preserve today,” Mr Bertolino said.
“Since the preserve has been closed to the public, Chris has not been able to look for Brian in the only place Chris and Roberta believe Brian may be.”
