Breaking: New Washington Football Team Name Is Not Commanders; Daniel Snyder Tweet Confirms New Name

Written by Chris Powers

Speculation has run rampant over the past two years as to what the former Washington Redskins team name would be. For the past two seasons, they temporarily adopted the moniker of the Washington Football Team. Although fans have gotten used to the name, it was never meant to be a permanent solution.

It was announced that on February 2nd, 2022 that the team would unveil its new name, logo and uniforms to the general public.

However, a tweet featuring Daniel Snyder revealed the team’s new name, and it is not the Commanders.

Get it? Because the team is consistently a loser. If they don’t solve their quarterback situation for the first time in 30 years, they will continue to be a loser. Any sort of team name change will do no good unless they address the same problems that have plagued the organization since the Snyder regime took control.
