We have sad news out of the MMA world today as a young fighter sadly passed away today due to a tragic accident.
Former ONE Championship title challenger Luri Lapicus died Monday after a motorcycle crash in Italy. He was only 27. Lapicus crashed his motorcycle into a car driven by a woman in Milan last week.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones at this difficult time,” the org said in a statement to ESPN.

According to Milano Today, Lapicus was in a coma until Monday.
The resident of Italy competed against former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in 2021, a bout that went to a no-contest after Lapicus landed unintentional punches to the back of Alvarez’s head.
Lapicus fought most recently last August, a loss to Zebaztian Kadestam. Lapicus had begun his pro MMA career with 14 straight victories.
Lapicus owned a 14-2 career record as a fighter, including a 2-2 mark in ONE.
