We have seen sad news to post for rap and hip-hop music fans alike as famed rapper, hip-hop singer and beatboxer Biz Markie has passed away at the age of 57 after a battle with various health issues.
Born as Marcel Theo Hall and nicknamed as the ‘Clown Prince of Hip Hop,’ the New Jersey native was known for his 1980s big hit in ‘Just a Friend.’
His other hit songs include ‘Vapors,’ ‘Nobody Beats the Biz,’ and ‘What Comes Around Goes Around.’
Aside from his music career, Biz was also known for his creative beatboxing skills as shown in Nickelodeon children show, ‘Yo Gabba Gabba.’
Markie is survived by his wife, Tara Hall, and multiple members from the rap and hip-hop community.
