According to the Ukrainian Presidency, there have been more than 40 soldiers killed since Russia initially invaded the Ukraine, and a few dozen of them injured. Not only have soldiers been killed, but civilian death numbers are beginning to rise.
“As far as I know, at the moment there are a few civilian deaths — up to ten” said Oleksiy Arestovych, an advisor in the President’s Office of the Ukraine.
This report conflicts with evidence shown on Twitter id what appears to be several hundred civilian deaths, but more news on the matter will become available later today.
Tensions have been mounting over the past several weeks between Russia and the Ukraine and things seemingly are appearing worse. While the EU has threatened harass sanctions against Russia, it appears that Moscow has no intent to pull back its military.
