The Cincinnati Bengals signed QB A.J. McCarron, A.J. McCarron, as per NFL Inider Ian Rapoport.
McCarron is now added to the Bengals practice squad. This comes a day after they signed QB Reid Sinnett to their practice squad.
These moves are due to starting QB Joe Burrow’s lingering calf injury. Jake Browning was the only other healthy QB on the roster.
McCarron was a fifth-round pick by the Bengals in the 2014 NFL Draft. He has had stints with several teams, including the Bengals, Bills, Raiders, Texans, and Falcons.
McCarron played football this past spring with the St. Louis Battlehawks. There, he went 6-3 as a starter while completing 68.8% of his passes for 2,150 yards and 24 touchdowns vs. six interceptions.
