The New Orleans Pelicans cruised past the Jokic-less Denver Nuggets, 107-88. They were led by Brandon Ingram’s 31-11-10 triple-double. The Pelicans needed this win as they are looking to move up in the west standings and secure a playoff spot.

The former one-time all-star has been playing great lately for the Pelicans as Zion Williamson remains out since the all-star game.

He also joins former New Orleans guard Chris Paul in the Pelicans record books with his stat line tonight.

If not for Williamson’s injury, their record could be much better as they are considered one of the best teams in the West when healthy.

The Nuggets were led by Jamal Murray who scored 21 points in the loss. The Nuggets already clinched a playoff berth and are currently the number-one team in the West. There is little to no concern about somebody overtaking them in the standings.

After years of postseason disappointment, the Nuggets are looking to contend for a title this season. While Jokic is slated to win another MVP this year, he has publicly stated that he doesnā€™t care about the award and just wants to deliver Denverā€™s first title in June. The Nuggets are in a slump lately but they still need to end the season on a positive note and carry a winning attitude in the playoffs.
