Bill Belichick Says His QB’s Arm Not Strong Enough

Written by Tony Ghaul

The New England Patriots lost to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in the strangest way when Raiders DE Chandler Jones returned a lateral from Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers 48 yards for a touchdown. The game should’ve been in overtime.

Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick did his best to explain what happened as he told reporters, “The play didn’t work. Made a mistake on the play.”

Belichick revealed that they could not try for a Hail Mary, because QB Mac Jones could not throw the ball far enough.

“Couldn’t throw it that far,” Belichick told reporters.

The Patriots fell to 7-7 on the year with the defeat. They have a tough matchup next week at home against the Cincinnati Bengals on Christmas Eve.
