New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft could move on from Head Coach Bill Belichick if they lose in Germany to the Indianapolis Colts, as per the Boston Globe.

Based on the report Belichick’s seat is even hotter than people thought.

“If Belichick comes home from Germany with a 2-8 record, I think there’s a chance the Krafts could make the move in the bye week and install Jerod Mayo as the interim coach for the final seven games,” per the Boston Globe.

The Globe states that several people battling for control of the organization and Belichick trying to hold on as long as he can.

It is also being reported that barring a miracle turnaround, it seems increasingly likely that this season is Belichick’s last in Foxborough.

The Patriots enter Sunday’s game against the Colts with a 2-7 record. Belichick has 330 wins as a Head Coach and he ranks second All-time behind Don Shula, who has 347.

If these reports are true, Belichick is coaching for his job, which is pretty amazing considering his career in New England. Belichick holds the record for most Super Bowl wins by a Head Coach with 6.
