Ben Simmons gets booed in Brooklyn Nets debut

Written by Tony Ghaul

NBA stiff and non-jump shot shooter Ben Simmons made his long-delayed debut with the Brooklyn Nets in Monday’s preseason opener. Simmons missed all of last season with mental health issues and a bad back.

The Nets lost, 127-108, to Philadelphia, the team from which Simmons had forced a deadline-day trade. He got booed at the free throw line, as he misses both free throws.

Many 76ers fans must have made the trek to Brooklyn for the game, as Simmons received a mixed reaction to his introduction, with a smattering of boos audible in the crowd of 13,250 at Barclays Center.

The narcissistic Simmons said, “Amazing. I’m grateful just to be able to step on a NBA floor again. I had a lot of fun out there,” Simmons said after his first game in 470 days. “I thought I’d be nervous, but I wasn’t nervous: I was excited. To have that feeling to be able to come out and know you’re going to play on a NBA floor especially at Barclays with some great players, it’s excitement.”

I wonder how long it will take for the Nets fans grow tired of this fraud. Simmons is a self-centered egotistical jerk, who refuses to work at to improve the many flaws in his game and personality. He likes the money and lifestyle of being a NBA player, but he is not too concerned with playing the game itself.
