Ben Roethlisberger Season Ending Injury; Mason Rudolph Likely To Start Against Chiefs

The drama to the end of the Pittsburgh Steelers regular season has been unprecedented. Word got out a couple of months ago that long time Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was likely going to retire at the end of the season.

A few weeks ago, the chances of the Steelers making the playoffs looked dismal. Somehow, Big Ben and the Steelers limped in after defeating the Baltimore Ravens last week. Unfortunately, that came with a price of an injury to Roethlisberger that many were not expecting.

According to injury reports, Ben has a season ending injury with his pectorals. To be clear, not season ending in terms of he can’t necessarily play, but that it’s the end of the regular season and he has an injury. Hopefully there is no confusion there.

The hope is that Roethlisberger will be able to play this weekend, but if for some reason he does not, Mason Rudolph will likely start against the Chiefs, BUT ONLY if Roethlisberger is not ready to go.
