Barstool Sports is constantly making new moves and recently they filed for a trademark for a drink they’re coming out with called Pirate Water. No, it’s not actual water. They partnered up with Four Loko to drop this new drink and let me be the first to tell you, this was smart on both sides.
We’ve seen Barstool being able to push drinks like High Noon but now they’re dropping a drink that they own. Pirate water will be an alcoholic malt beverage per Gaz from Barstool Sports on The Dave Portnoy Show.
Dave Portnoy who is the owner of Barstool Sports didn’t even know that this was something they’re working on while they started talking about this on his show. Which just shows how less and less he is involved with everything now.
Josh Gerben who is a trademark attorney posted this:
Barstool Sports has filed a new trademark application for:— Josh Gerben (@JoshGerben) September 6, 2022
The filing, made on August 29th, indicates that @barstoolsports intends to launch a brand of ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages called "PIRATE WATER." #barstool pic.twitter.com/BPN4g4mNsX
This is going to blow up, I don’t know when they plan on dropping this and I wonder how long they have been working on this. But I’m excited to try it.
