In WBC Game between Team USA and Team Venezuela tonight, Houston Astros star and member of Team Venezuela Jose Altuve is hit by pitch from Team USA pitcher Daniel Bard on the top of his right hand.
Altuve immediately left the game holding his right hand and wrist. He had a pained look on his face.
During Bard’s outing he recorded zero outs, gave up three walks, a single, hit Jose Altuve, and threw two wild pitches before USA manager Mark DeRosa mercifully pulled him from the game.
The extent or seriousness of Altuve’s injury is unknown as of now.
