Arizona Diamondbacks Signed Top Prospect To Massive Contract

Written by Tony Ghaul

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed Corbin Carroll, one of the league’s best prospects, to an eight-year, $111 million contract.

Carroll was ranked as the #2 prospect heading into this season, only behind Gunner Henderson.

The 22 year-old Carroll was drafted 16th overall by the Diamondbacks in the 2019 draft. He hit .260 with four home runs 14 RBIs in 104 ABs, while playing in 32 games.

This contract breaks an all-time record for players who have played in fewer than 100 career games.

Carroll is the heavy favorite to take home NL Rookie of the Year. He will now be the face of the Diamondbacks for years to come.
