2021 has without question been the year of quarterback controversy in the NFL. From the beginning off the offseason until Week 13, it seems like every week there is some sort of new quarterback drama in the league.

The most recent quarterback drama comes out of the Arizona Cardinals camp when it was announced on November 23rd that backup quarterback Chris Streveler was released. It was then announced the same day that Trace McSorley, another backup quarterback was signed to the active roster.

In other Arizona Cardinals news, head coach Kliff Kingsbury commented on a potential return of starting quarterback, Kyler Murray for Week 13.

“I am hopeful,” Kingsbury said, via Darren Urban of the team’s website. “I will leave it at that at this point because I want to see them move around, practice full speed, and see where they are at, and where their comfort level and their confidence is.”
