Arizona Cardinals Fired Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury

Written by Tony Ghaul

The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who 10 months ago signed a contract extension through the 2027 season, as per Adam Schefter.

Kingsbury has a record of 28-37-1 in four years as Head Coach. He has not been able get Arizona’s offense to top flight despite weapons at each skill position and a franchise QB in Kyler Murray at the helm.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports Kingsbury’s contract was guaranteed through 2026, so owner Michael Bidwill will be paying Kingsbury out for the next few seasons while also tacking on the next head coach’s salary.

Potential candidates to replace Kingsbury include names such as Sean Payton, Shane Steichen and Vance Joseph among others.
