The Colts have signed CB Stephon Gilmore to two year, $23M deal, per Josina Anderson. The Colts traded away quarterback Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders, and including cornerback Rock Ya-Sin in a track package for Yannick Ngakoue, the team is heading into the 2022 season with All-Pro players at every level in their defense, including DeForest Buckner. The team traded a third round pick for Falcons QB Matt Ryan, who is a former NFL MVP in 2016. He instantly upgrades to a better offensive line, better running back in Jonathan Taylor, and better wide receivers led by T.Y. Hilton and Michael Pittman Jr.

With the AFC loading up this off-season in all divisions, the Colts had to compete and made it clear that they wanted to push for the playoffs again, and take their team to a championship. The 2022 season will be one for the record books.
