On Friday NFL Insider for ESPN, Adam Schefter, reported that Antonio Brown has stated that he will not play football again if he cannot wear his previous helmet that he has worn all of his career.
And now this: Raiders’ WR Antonio Brown has told team officials that, unless he gets to wear his old helmet, he will not play football again, per league sources.

Antonio Brown believes the new helmet that the rules mandate he wears protrudes out and interferes with his vision as he tries to catch football. The Raiders have been sending Brown other approved helmets to try out but, at this time, he is not interested in wearing any of them.

The newly acquired Oakland Raiders wide out has said that he feels that the helmet rule interferes with his vision to catch a football. Oakland has attempted to give Brown helmets that could be similar to try out but he is not interested in any of them.
ESPN NFL national writer Kevin Seifert has stated that the new policy was announced in April and that if players of any team wears a prohibited helmet they would be punished.
NFL policy, announced in April, punishes TEAMS if any player wears a prohibited helmet. So the onus is on the Raiders to enforce this against Brown, who wouldn’t face league discipline himself if and when he breaks the rule. https://t.co/wzJwouQkc9

As of right now it looks like the Pittsburgh Steelers came out on the winning end of this trade due to the fact that Brown might not play football ever again due to a helmet.
