Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon is caught on camera trying to punch an Oakland A’s fan after grabbing him by the shirt in ugly Opening Day altercation: “You called me a b****?”

The video shows Rendon asking the fan what he said while holding him by the shirt. After a brief exchange, Rendon then used the same hand with which he was holding the fan to take a swing at the fan.

Rendon’s teammates, including Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, walk by during the altercation. It appears to take place in the dugout as the players head into the clubhouse.

Rendon did not have the best game as he stepped up to the plate three times and struck out twice. Neither Rendon nor the fan have commented on the situation.

MLB issued a brief comment to The Athletic’s Sam Blum saying that the league is aware of the incident.

The league suspended Rendon for five games last season for his involvement in a bench-clearing brawl with the Seattle Mariners in June while wearing a cast to protect his injured wrist.
