Ovi scored his 700th goal today and becomes only the 8th player in NHL history to accomplish such a feat. Of course, in typical Ovi fashion, he slams home number 700 on a one timer.He joins guys named Gretzky, Hull, Jagr, Esposito, Dionne, Howe, and Gartner. Pretty sweet company.
Once upon a time I had an argument with a family member who claimed Ovi only scored as much as he did because of his high shot volume and not because he’s one of the most talented goal scorers we’ve ever seen (he was bumped to the kids table at Thanksgiving for his recklessness). Idk about you, but I watch these highlights and see the greatest scorer of his generation.
