After an injury filled and disappointing season with the Tennessee Titans, Julio Jones is being released and set to join the list of available free agent wide receivers.
Julio played in ten games in his first season after being traded from the Atlanta Falcons to the Titans last year, but struggled making any type of impact due to hamstring and knee issues. Julio finished the year with only 31 receptions for 434 yards and 1 TD. Julio was brought in by the Titans to pair with AJ Brown and to help take some of the load off of Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry, but that clearly did not work out.
Everybody knows Julio is a freak athlete who’s capable of making big plays, but Jones is now 33 years old and clearly slowing down. He will undoubtedly gain attention of teams looking for Wide Receiver help, but the best fit for him would most likely be a team who can slot him in as a WR3 and reduce his snaps.
