Active Shooter Alert Issued; One Person Reportedly Shot Outside Nationals Park in Washington

Written by Nate

Got some bizarre, breaking news to post tonight as a reported-and confirmed-active shooter alert/shooting that happened outside a third base line gate at Nationals Park in Washington.

In the video below, you can barely hear a few gunshots that were firing in the background as the pitcher was getting checked for foreign substances before they went to commercial break.

According to a tweet thread by reporter Hugo Lowell, at least one person was shot at the stadium, one of which included a woman being wheeled out in a gurney by first responders.

Just after the reports were surfaced, fans were asked to be evacuated between the right and center field gates, and the Nationals have called the game as a result with the Padres leading 8-4 in the 6th inning via MASN’s Mark Zuckerman.

Hopefully everyone is safe getting out of Nationals Park, and thoughts and prayers to this involved.

Once we get more information regarding this event, we will update them into this post.
