Earlier in the week, I reported on Abdulmanap Nurmagmedov, Khabib’s father, being in a military hospital after having Covid-19 symptoms. Thursday morning, it was reported that Nurmagomedov was conscious but couldn’t talk. This is welcome news for the champion!
Khabib confirms all these reports in a 6 minute video down below. This video also confirms that multiple people in his family have been in intensive care because of this disease. MMAJunkie was first with the translation of most of the video.
Khabib quote about his father:
“My father is still at the hospital. He’s still going through this disease. He also had a heart complication due to COVID-19. Abdulmanap had surgery for his heart last year and also had the second one these days [sic], so he is still in bad condition. That’s all I can say.
“I want to thank all the people for your support, wishes and your prayers. I also wish all the best. Be safe and healthy. Thank you very much.”
