Aaron Rodgers Tests Positive for COVID; Will Not Play Sunday at Kansas City #Packers #AaronRodgers #NFL

The COVID-19 wave continues to hit in Green Bay. This time, it has striken their superstar quarterback.

In tweets from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for the virus. The news comes a few days removed from their big 24-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.

Despite conflicting reports from another beat reporter in Green Bay, Rapoport has stated in another tweet that Rodgers is unvaccinated. Which means he will not play this Sunday’s game versus the Kansas City Chiefs and possibly next week against the Seattle Seahawks.

Rodgers once said in a press conference that he was ‘immunized’ and that he supported his teammates’ personal decisions on whether to get the vaccine or not.

It is one of the few notable personnel and players that is expected to miss at least one game due to COVID-19 protocols.

Wide receivers Davante Adams and Allen Lazard and defensive coordinator Joe Barry missed last week’s matchup at Arizona due to COVID-19.

The Packers will now look towards their 2020 first-round pick in quarterback Jordan Love to lead the team these next couple weeks.
