New York Jets star QB Aaron Rodgers suffered an ankle injury during practice today.

ESPN’s Dianna Russini is reporting that the veteran had his ankle checked during practice.

“Aaron Rodgers off to the side, favoring his ankle, checking it,” the ESPN reporter tweeted. “Something clearly not right.

Rodgers remained on the field, watching the quarterbacks and then the offense. He did not take part in any of the drills.

With Rodgers out, Zach Wilson took the first-team reps. The Jets began OTA practices on Monday.

Rodgers is heading into his first season as a member of the Jets, following an 18-year stint with the Green Bay Packers.
