Earlier Wednesday night, Washington Capitals forward TJ Oshie was trending on Twitter for all the right reasons.
For those who haven’t seen the game, Oshie would score a hat trick versus the New York Rangers in his first game since his father, Tim, had passed away Tuesday night.
It is truly an incredible moment, and even more so since it was revealed that the elder Oshie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease back in 2012. ‘Coach’ was seen out on the ice when TJ and his Capitals teammates were celebrating their Stanley Cup victory.
Well, it might be a very good guess that Coach’s spirit was right with TJ tonight, because his son’s hat trick has lifted him and Washington to a 4-2 win over New York.
