San Francisco 49ers star safety Talanoa Hufanga “likely” suffered a season ending torn ACL, as per HC Kyle Shanahan.
This is a major loss for the 49ers. Hufanga was a Pro Bowler and a First Team All-Pro in 2022. He has 51tackles, 3 interceptions and 3 passes defended this season.
Hufanga attempted to tackle Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Rachaad White in the open field but got juked out and had his right leg buckle awkwardly.
Hufanga was a fifth round pick by the 49ers in the 2021 NFL draft.
