49ers DE Arik Armstead Accused Lions OT Dan Skipper Of Calling Players The “N-word”; Wild Fact? He Has Never Once Been On The Same Field As Dan Skipper

Written by TrevStone

Earlier today NateDogg wrote a blog for us regarding 49ers DE Arik Armstead accusing Lions offensive tackle Dan Skipper of calling players the “N-word” and also for being racist.

Obviously, this all started getting a lot of attention. Some people ran to support Skipper and then there is another side of people who believe the accusation that he is a racist.

I have never once stepped foot on a field with Dan Skipper so I can’t say he is or isn’t, or has said these things. And you know what is wild? Either has Arik Armstead.

According to Pro Football Reference the two of them have never stepped foot on the field at the same time.

Crazy, right? Could it be that Skipper said something to another player at one point and it got passed on to Armstead that he said that? Sure. Is it weird for out of everyone to call out Dan Skipper? Yes. But why wait until he finally gets his first career starts and the team showed love for him? Seems a little strange to me.

Personally, I’ve been a fan of Dan Skipper and hope this isn’t true. He’s the true underdog story. Getting cut from every team, including the Lions on HBO Hard Knocks and the emotion he showed warmed the hearts of Lions fans. And to hear this it’s a little troubling.

Who knows who or how Armstead heard Skipper say this; but we will have to wait and see if we hear anything.
