Alas, here we are the Wednesday before the Busch Clash at the coliseum just a few short months after Joey Logano won his 2nd championship at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale AZ. It is now time to rejoice cause the off season is over and we can ge back to watching the sport we love NASCAR Cup Series racing.

Unfortunately we received the sad news that this will be Kevin Harvick’s final year in the Cup Series. In His Cup career he amassed 60 wins, 428 top tens, and 31 poles. His Cup career started in the No. 29 GM Goodwrench Chevy after the tragic passing of Dale Earnhardt SR.

We also have some new faces in new places Kyle Busch made the shocking announcement that he would take his talents to the historic Richard Childress Racing stable.

Ryan Preece is moving to the 41 car for Stewart-Haas. Preece was the SHR reserve driver in 2022.

Noah Gragson move full time to the Cup ranks with Legacy Motor Club formerly PettyGMS Racing

Ty Gibbs also moves to the Cup ranks full time

Nascar also made some rule changes for the 2023 season. The move that made Ross Chastain a household name is now illegal. They have also made changes to the rear clip and middle sections of the Next Gen car in the interest of driver safety. Also, stage breaks have been removed at road courses at the cup level.

Now on to more pressing matters, in my opinion i believe this years Cup Series champion will be Kyle Busch. He only had one win last year that came at the Bristol Dirt Race. But he is now with RCR and hungrier than ever, I believe he has been rejunvenated by the move and have his best season in a while.

Im predicting that Ty Gibbs will win a race in his rookie campaign. He is in JGR equipment, that got CBell all the way to the championship 4 last season. He is also to good of a driver to be held out of Victory Lane. We will also see Corey Lajoie visit Victory Lane for the first time an accomplishment which would be huge for him and his team Spire Motorsports.

2023 will be a great year as it is the 75th season of Nascar Cup Series racing, its gonna be a fun ride please join me all season long as I recap and preview every race.
